NEW PERSPECTIVES SCHOLARSHIP
FOR RETURNING WOMEN
The NEW PERSPECTIVES SCHOLARSHIP of up to $500 reimbursement will be awarded to a woman who is in the process of developing personal goals and commitment to herself. She hopes to eventually complete a degree program leading to a new career or to advance her status in her current field.
GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS
- Applicant must be at least 24 years old.
- Applicant must be a resident of the North Penn, Wissahickon, or Souderton school districts.
- Applicant must explain her personal goals and commitment to herself through a written statement.
- This scholarship will be awarded to a woman who in the initial stages of undergraduate studies. If enrolled in a degree program, she has freshman or sophomore standing. The course(s) must be taken at an accredited 2 year or 4 year college. No minimum course load is required. No preference will be given to either full or part-time students. The course may have been completed during the 2010-2011 academic year, but must be completed no later than January, 2012.
- Applications must be received no later than April 15, 2011. Mail application to: New Perspectives Scholarship, AAUW Lansdale Branch, PO Box 381, Lansdale, PA 19446.
- Award notification will be made by May 18, 2011. The recipient must submit a transcript to AAUW Lansdale Branch showing successful completion of the course (grade of C or better) to receive reimbursement.
