Awaiting the opening remarks, students work on "Math-Is-Fun Sudoku" from their
packets.

Lauren describes a day at a wild-bird animal rescue center, the Raptor Trust.
After the keynote address, student groups move to their first of five activities
for the day.
During the morning or afternoon, everyone has a session in the
Exploration and Discovery Room:

In "The Apprentice, Engineering Style," students design a slope to make a marble
descend as SLOWLY as possible.

All participants had four workshop sessions as well as time in the Exploration
and Discovery Room.
